A THOUGHT ON COVID-19

If you had told me at the start of 2020 what the year ahead had in store for all of us i would have laughed and told you to put down your drink. Covid-19 crept up on us all and we just can’t quite seem to shake free of it yet. Acknowledging that this has been a challenging time - physically, financially and emotionally - is important. Going out of your house for a leisurely walk, to socialise, to work or go to school was a given. Taking a holiday abroad, buying toilet paper, visiting your family and friends, getting married and attending a funeral were all taken for granted. This pandemic has forced us to witness life in a very unusual way (mainly with copious amounts of hand-gel, facemasks and a new sense of how far 2 metres actually is).

As the months have rolled on we have all adjusted as best as we can. Many industries have been affected by Covid-19 and of course the wedding industry has been hit pretty hard - for businesses and couples alike. Many of you have had to take some hard decisions to postpone your big day or to opt for a smaller wedding than you had hoped for.

I just wanted to let you know that if you are one of my wedding couples or are thinking of booking with me then i am 100% with you at this time to discuss your upcoming wedding and to brainstorm all the options to make your day as gorgeous and stress-free as possible. It is more important that ever that we work together, support each other and try to find the positives in this very odd time. Please do not hesitate to contact me to talk about your worries and/or your plans and i will do my very best to assist you.

I’m looking forward to sharing footage from my upcoming micro weddings soon but in the meantime let me leave you with this short film i shot inspired by the sea and John Masefield’s poem ‘Sea Fever’ to enjoy.
